When complete, the hospital will provide 251,000 square metres of floor over 10 levels and will also have an underground car park with approximately 2,300 bays. Saccardo Constructions was approached by the Joint Venture partners as they recognised we were one of the few contractors with the resources and technical expertise to undertake such a large and time-sensitive project. Due to the duration of the project and the resources required, we established an on-site office with a dedicated project manager, site supervisor and contracts administrator to better service the day-to-day challenges.OVERVIEW
The New Royal Adelaide Hospital, located in the city’s west end, will be the state’s flagship public hospital and will be the cornerstone of the reformed South Australian Health System. The $1.85 billion facility will be the single largest infrastructure project in the state’s history and will be one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the country, enabling world-class care for the people of South Australia.
